Lord Krishna´s Universe

Teachings 17 and 18

As Lord Krishna kept saying, there are some important aspects that make our universe. The mayor ones are Knowledge, action and agent. In this case, I made a picture representing each of them as Krishna described them.

Knowledge: Is the one that is different. It is much more than action and agent, but it may also be combined. Even how, knowledge´s characteristics make the person different form others. It separates it form the others into a different world. When everyone is the same, knowledge has its difference.

¨Know that through lucid knowledge/ one sees in all creatures/ a single, unchanging existence,/undivided within its divisions¨. ( Teaching 18, page. 138, 20)

¨Know passionate knowledge/ as that which regards/ various distinct existences/ separately in all creatures¨. ( Teaching 18, page. 138, 21)

In my drawing, I tried to incorporate the passion for knowledge by adding hearts referring to Passion for books: knowledge. The person is separated form all the others since he is different. ( glasses, hair style). Action:

Has many characterizations that are explained with other drawings. Action is an act of sanctity. it may be done throughout sacrifice, charity and penance.

Tranquility: is a very important action for a priest. It has both, characteristics of an action and knowledge. ¨ Tranquility, control, penance,/purity, patience and honesty, /knowledge, judgment, and piety/ are distinction to the action of a priest¨. ( Teaching 18, page. 141, 42)


The picture show a person in the state of being calm and tranquil. He is sitting down waiting with patience, and he shows a face of judgement and honesty. He is bald in order to show that he is a priest, and also the aura demonstrating his purity and control.

Renunciation

Renunciation may be the hardest of all. It may also be characterized as detachment. By renunciation is by leaving everything behind. Not wanting or ever wanting to have and not caring. Instead of wanting more and having it all b yourself, it is better to detach form something and at least share with the one who do need.

The drawing shows the person is preparing to leave everything behind, like his whims and other´s people´s (by leaving the city). He is starting to prepare to take the first harsh steps of renunciation.

Heroism:
¨ Heroism fiery energy, resolve,/ skill, refusal to retreat in battle,/ charity, and majesty in conduct/ are instinct to the action of a warrior.

The drawing shows a fiery warrior, in this case Arjuna with his bow and arrow. He is skill full by the golden medals in his left hand, and his charity is shown in the box with gold at the left. His twisted and ad face demonstrates his fiery energy, showing a warrior with refusal of retreating in battle.
