As soon as the described Eros, I made the quick connection noticing it was cupid. How ever, it was funny to think of the god since supposedly it is a baby in diapers.
I liked how Q and A connected love with Eros description.
"Q: Why does he have wings?
A: So he can move quickly and easily from body to body.
Q: Why is he naked?
A: To make us transparent
Transparent in our love. Foolish to others. Exposed.
Q:Why is he blind?
Because in Love we are so ignorant and so compulsive? "(pg.68-69).
I agree with the quote since love makes us all stupid and foolish. Some may think that it is so pessimist, but love is not great. It may be that at the beginning everything is great and beautiful, that is because it makes us compulsive and ignorant, blind. As soon as reality is reached, it may be the hardest blow someone could ever face. In the end, someone always ends up hurt. And recuperating from that pain is really hard.
What I still cant get of the story was, that finally there was a happy ending! Usually, in most myths and love stories, someone ends up dead, almost dead, or they end up deprived of their so called " true love". It is weird that in the end, Psyche ends up being immortal and having their love will last forever.

Even so, their love had to be suffered, as usually love wants to. There was a happy ending, but obviously, both for them had to suffer. In the stories in which love was perfect, one of them ends up dying. There was a sad ending with suicide in the end. In the stories with happy ending, they had to suffer throughout the love. For example: Shrek, an ogre, wasn't meant to have a happy ending. But, he did! Obviously, there was a lot of suffering between Fiona and himself since he wasn't meant to love, specially princesses, and a princess would never fall in love of an ogre. In the end it worked, but did they suffer.
What it also is so funny is the Happy Ever After. How did they eve know there would be an after? It is such a big fallacy! How did they know they will last forever? There is always the divorce or death. You cant say they lived happily ever after if they are still alive? Or did they wanted them already dead? There is no eternal happiness!
It is so ironic that love has to deal with so much suffering. I think it is better to not even bothering in falling in love. The problem is, then you suffer because you are alone, and not being loved. Love is cruel!
