The First Ever Recorded Cannibalism

I still cant belief how could Erysichthon was capable of selling his own mother in order to buy food. He sold her for his own good and arrogance, as he did by cutting that innocent tree just for wood. I think he was really stupid, how could he possibly cut the sacred tree of Ceres? His arrogance would only make him think of him and himself.

Even so, Ceres did have her way of vengeance. What other punishment harsher than that one? He destroyed himself. At least, the punishment worked for many. Now, the narrator was free of that selfish and arrogant king. Ersichthon´s mother was also freed from her old age (and her son). She even was taken back to the shores, were she, as a young child would play for hours and days. Finally, Ceres avenged her sacred tree death and made a favor to all human beings. At least all humans who had to do anything with the king.
